The Church is favored,
the dwelling place of God on earth:
a temple built of living stones,
founded on the apostles
with Jesus Christ its corner stone.

(Rite of Dedication of a Church and an Altar, 1977)

LITURGY & WORSHIP

They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers . . . And all who believed . . . had all things in common; . . . . (Acts 2:42, 44)

In this house, O Lord,
by the grace of the Holy Spirit,
may the sick be healed
the weak have their strength restored,
the lame begin to run,
the lepers be cleansed,
the blind be made to see,
and demons expelled.

(Rite of Dedication of a Church and an Altar, 1977)
